“Been Getting Picked On My Whole Life, I Grew Up With Men” – Hannah Barron Responds To Viral Tweet Saying She Isn’t “Feminine” (2024)

Bless her heart.

In case you missed it, fishing sensation and content creator Hannah Barron has been a hot topic over on Twitter (or X) lately after one woman had a problem with Hannah’s southern accent (she’s from Alabama, after all), and took to social media to complain about it:

“This accent needs to be illegal and women should be banned from doing manual labour like this. There is NOTHING feminine about American women. American women are literally men.”

That’s certainly a…take.

Of course there are millions of men (and women) who would disagree. Personally, I don’t think there’s anything hotter than a girl with a southern accent, but I’m also from the south so I may be a little biased.

There were plenty of people online who agreed with me though, and the internet quickly jumped in to defend Hannah and her accent:

Jealous lol most guys would rather have a girl like this then some girly whimpy princess

Uhhhh…sorry but uh this is like a dream woman.

If you and this chick were standing outside in the rain together, I guarantee you 99% of the men in this comment section would choose her once your face was done melting off. Good luck with all that plastic surgery in 10 years, the wall approaches! You will never be White.

100% of Actual Men Would Choose The Adorable Farm Girl Over Someone That Has SO LITTLE Self Confidence They Had To Have ALL Kinds of Fillers and Lip Plumpers To Hide HOW UGLY They Are and Now Looks Trans…

Women who talk like this, and can do things like this are too busy being satisfied, fulfilled and loved to care about some rando with an X account. https://t.co/eemeqnVlBH

Cute southern girl who doesn't need fake lips and a metric ton of makeup to be attractive. She's also very productive. Someone is raging with jealousy 😆 https://t.co/VcoengVdvc

Well like the southern girl that she is, Hannah responded with grace and class in an Instagram video that can be summed up with a familiar southern saying:

Bless her heart.

Hannah admitted that she didn’t even know she was trending, because she isn’t on Twitter anymore, but also admitted that she had no idea who the woman was who called her out:

“I would tell y’all this girl’s name but I can’t remember it because I don’t have a clue who she is, so that should tell you how relevant this person is.”

And she said that she knows what it’s like to be looked down on for being a girl who likes hunting and fishing:

“I just think it’s hilarious because I grew up the weird kid in high school who hunted and fished too much, because back then it wasn’t cool for women to hunt or fish or the whole country lifestyle. And I’m so proud of all the women in the outdoors now who are making that more cool or popular. So proud of us, I think we’re doing great.”

She also says that she’s been helping her dad build houses since she was 15, and even taught others how to weld in high school ag class, so she’s not worried about being seen as “less feminine” because she does manual labor:

“It’s fun. There’s nothing wrong with that. There’s a lot of blue collar women out there who are also feminine.”

And she sums it up by reminding people not to worry about what some random person on the internet thinks:

“I just think that you should embrace your own individuality. You should be yourself and don’t worry about what anybody else said because these folks talking about me and thinking they’re going to offend me, that ship sailed a long time ago.

I’ve been getting picked on my whole life. I grew up around men.”

Her response was much nicer than some of the things that others have been saying on her behalf, so clearly Hannah isn’t too worried about what this random internet lady had to say.

Bless her heart.

UPDATE: Hannah Barron has responded.

Beautiful, gracious young lady.
